It's hard for us to believe that the three month trip we've been planning in Europe is already over! We finished up our European Summer the only way that could possibly top everything else; sailing around the Dalmatian Isles off Croatia. The water was impossibly blue, reminding us off Hawaii and the memories we had there of open ocean diving on the Napali coast. In classic European style, the Croatian's put on a clinic in historic culture, beautiful cities and crazy good food, especially fresh seafood. We will be back next year for sure!
As groms we dreamt of visiting Italy to eat pizza and pasta to our heart's content, so we dabbled in the local cuisine and explored Sorento's coastline and the unreal Isle of Capri. We will be back to Capri without a doubt in the following Summer, the time we spent was not even close to enough.
We sailed our yacht into open waters towards the islands off the coast of Nice, France. Our captain, Stavros, consolidated our sailing knowledge in broken english and shared with us his tails of the sea. We spent the day breathing in the salt air and exploring the isles with friends we made in town.
After some time in mainland Europe we escaped to the island chain off the South Coast of Greece; the Cyclades. We were chasing blue water and sunshine with our friends; TP (@joshuapatterson_ jp_) and Louis (@skidmorelew). Arriving at a casual pace by boat, we sat on the deck in the sea breeze and watched as the islands grew larger on the horizon. Covered in their beautiful white towns, the Cyclades were one of the most unique destinations we visited in Europe. We had a week of sunshine and were salty and sunburnt by the time it came to move on to France. We stopped at Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios, but our next visit to the Cyclades will be to the lesser known isles towards Turkey.
Charging into the wild European countryside, we stumbled upon Lake Bled; a Summer oasis in the mountains of Slovenia. We spent our days jumping from trees into the hyper blue water, hiking the surrounding mountains and whitewater rafting the crystal blue, ice cold glacial river alongside local friend Luka (@lukapodlogar).
It felt like traveling back in time, hiking out into the wild of the smaller Hawaiian island with some of the local crew - chasing waterfalls and cliff jumps.
The insane landscapes makes you feel like a lego person, the mountains covered in green are the best hikes we've ever done in our lives. There is so much unique wildlife, particularly in the ocean. The beauty of the island made us want to spend weeks exploring these isles, but mainland America was waiting.
Thank you to Sam Potter (@captain_potter), Alex & Koa Smith (@alexsmith_, @koatree) for showing us your home and Bianca Swapshire and Gab Epstein (@gabbyepstein) for making the trip possible and such a great time.

Welcome to the tropics baby!
With the Australian Summer coming to an end at home, we packed the board bags and flew out to the warmer oceans and tropical jungles of Indonesia's island atolls.
